Definition of TPV
Thermoplastic Dynamic Vulcanizate, abbreviated as TPV. It refers to a two-phase mixture of rubber and thermoplastic in the melt blending process to vulcanize the rubber, and let the vulcanized rubber uniformly dispersed in the plastic.
Raw Material TPV is mainly composed of two parts: one is thermoplastic, as a continuous phase; The second is rubber, as the dispersed phase.
Type of TPV
Raw Material TPV can be formed between many plastics and rubber, but only some blends have practical value after dynamic vulcanization, currently commercialized EPDM/PP, NBR/PP, IIR/PP, etc., of course, there are some super TPV, such as Dow Corning's thermoplastic silicone vulcanized rubber (TPSiV), DuPont's engineered thermoplastic vulcanized rubber (ETPV).
Processing of TPV

Performance of TPV
The physical properties and functions of TPV at room temperature are similar to those of thermoset rubber, and they exhibit the characteristics of thermoplastic plastics at high temperatures, which can be processed quickly, economically and conveniently. TPV thermoplastic EPDM dynamic vulcanized elastomer/rubber The vulcanized rubber material is dynamically vulcanized so that EPDM is dispersed in the polypropylene PP plastic matrix with particles less than 2 microns in size, and the characteristics of rubber and plastic are well combined together to obtain high-performance elastomer materials with excellent comprehensive properties.
