PP Chemical Modification

Through copolymer modification, cross-linking modification, graft modification, nucleating agents, etc., polypropylene polymer components and macromolecular structure or crystal configuration changes to improve its mechanical properties, heat resistance, aging resistance and other properties to enhance its comprehensive performance and expand its application areas.

• Co-polymerization modification

Copolymerization modification is a modification performed at the propylene monomer synthesis stage using metallocene and other catalysts. When the monomers are polymerized, the added olefinic monomers are copolymerized with them and the polymerization yields random copolymers, block copolymers and alternating copolymers, etc. The mechanical properties, transparency and processing fluidity of homopolymerized PP are enhanced. The complexes formed by metallocene catalysts are based on a single active center in a transition state with a certain restriction of irregular shape to achieve precise control of relative molecular mass and its distribution, copolymerization monomer content, distribution on the main chain and polymer crystalline structure.
