GPPS granules, also known as transparent polystyrene, are a non-crystalline thermoplastic resin that is widely used in various applications due to its excellent properties. The primary raw material used in the production of GPPS is styrene monomer, which accounts for more than 90% of the cost.

Advantages
The appearance of GPPS granules is a transparent, colorless, and glossy spherical or granular shape. It is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic, with a transparency range of 88%-92%. The polymer has a good balance of rigidity, water resistance, chemical stability, excellent electrical performance, good processability and coloring properties.
Disadvantages
GPPS granules have a few disadvantages, such as being brittle, prone to cracking and having low impact resistance. It also has poor wear resistance, and heat resistance, and is flammable. As a result, it is only suitable for use in low-temperature and low-load conditions.
