Product Description

Polypropylene is a polymer formed by the polymerization of propylene. It is a white waxy material, transparent and light in appearance. Chemical formula is (C3H6)n, density is 0.89~0.91g/cm³, flammable, melting point 165℃, softening at 155℃, use temperature range is -30~140℃. It can resist the corrosion of acid, alkali, salt liquid and many kinds of organic solvents below 80℃, and can be decomposed under the effect of high temperature and oxidation.

• It has excellent flexibility and bending fatigue life, which is the reason why it is commonly known as "hundred fold glue".

• Good heat resistance, is the five general plastic inside the best heat resistance, can be used for a long time in a high temperature environment below 100 degrees. Temperature up to about 150 degrees will not be significantly deformed.

• Good chemical stability, inert to most acids, alkalis, salts and oxidizers. In addition, food-grade PP material is also widely used, such as tea cups is the use of PP material such characteristics.

• With obvious melting point, PP material is a crystalline polymer, and its particles will not melt until a certain temperature, unlike PE or PVC, which soften as the temperature increases during the heating process. Once a certain temperature is reached, PP particles melt rapidly and can all be transformed into a molten state within a few degrees.

• PP material has good flowability and low melt viscosity, especially suitable for injection molding of large thin-walled products, such as straws, disposable plastic cups, etc.

• PP is easily available and relatively inexpensive, and is one of the top five general-purpose plastics (PE, PP, ABS, PVC, PS).
