Applications of Polypropylene

(1) Woven products

The PP resin consumed by woven products (plastic woven bags, tarpaulins and ropes, etc.) has always accounted for a high proportion in my country, and it is the largest market for polypropylene consumption in my country. It is mainly used for the packaging of food, fertilizer and cement. my country is the largest producer and consumer of plastic weaving products in the world, and it is also the most potential plastic weaving production market and consumer market in the world. As developed regions in Europe and the United States, high labor costs and high-end markets will make them more inclined to high-end consumption fields such as injection molding and sheet materials, while low-end plastic weaving and other products are mostly imported from developing countries. Although the proportion of plastic weaving has declined slightly in recent years, it is still the most important consumer product in my country's polypropylene industry, accounting for 42% of polypropylene consumption in 2011.

(2) Injection molding products

Injection products are mainly used in small household appliances, daily necessities, toys, washing machines, automobiles and turnover boxes. Domestic injection-molded polypropylene relies on a large proportion of imports. In recent years, the proportion of consumption in the field of injection molding has risen rapidly, from 17% in 2006 to 22% in 2011, ranking second only to plastic weaving. In the field of injection molding, there is a large gap in domestic products. In the world polypropylene consumption structure, injection molding products account for the main share, especially in industrially developed countries and regions, the proportion of polypropylene injection molding products is higher. Therefore, the growth potential of my country's injection molding industry is huge.

(3) Film products

Polypropylene film mainly includes BOPP, CPP, ordinary packaging film and microporous film, etc. BOPP has many excellent characteristics such as light weight, high mechanical strength, non-toxic, transparent, moisture-proof, etc. It is widely used in packaging, electrical, electronic appliances, tape, In many fields such as label film, film, lamination, etc., the packaging industry is the most used. Different application fields have great differences in the technical requirements of polypropylene film BOPP, among which the application field of film capacitors has the highest requirements. Due to the low processing technology requirements and relatively large profits, there has been an overheating of investment in the past few years. Most of the domestically produced BOPP films use general-purpose raw materials, and the film characteristics are limited, thereby weakening its competitive advantage over ordinary CPP films. This development trend is the strongest.
