Ordinary nitrile rubber (NBR) has not been able to satisfy the characteristics of oil resistance, heat resistance, high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, and oxygen resistance of rubber parts for automobiles and oilfields under harsh conditions, and the price of fluoroelastomers is expensive. Therefore, Dawn polymer began to explore the improvement of NBR performance, and hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) was developed successfully to meet this new need and developed successfully.
The most common application of HNBR is oil field packer cartridges, which are used in oil drilling.
