From the category of pigments

Phthalocyan blue belongs to the organic pigment system of phthalocyanine pigments. Ultramarine for pigment blue is a blue pigment in the inorganic pigment system. Therefore, phthalocyanine blue does not contain heavy metals and ultramarine blue contains traces of heavy metals. However, ultramarine blue is different from other inorganic blue pigments, such as iron blue, it contains very little heavy metals and is a non-toxic inorganic blue pigment.

The coloring power of phthalocyanine blue is strong, but the light and weather resistance properties are not as good as ultramarine blue.
