Because of the orientation of the stretching molecules, this film has good physical stability, mechanical strength, air tightness, high transparency and gloss, toughness and abrasion resistance, and is a widely used printing film, generally using a thickness of 20 to 40 μm, the most widely used 20 μm. The main disadvantage of biaxially oriented polypropylene film is poor heat sealability, so it is generally used as the outer film of composite films, such as moisture resistance, transparency, strength, stiffness and printability are ideal after lamination with polyethylene film, and is suitable for dry food. Because the surface of biaxially oriented polypropylene film is non-polar, high crystallinity, low surface free energy, therefore, its printing performance is poor, the adhesion to ink and adhesive is poor, and surface treatment is required before printing and lamination.
