PET whitening masterbatch is made by uniformly dispersing fluorescent whitening agents into PET chips. These whitening masterbatches can then be evenly spread throughout PET fibers without reacting or breaking said fibers. This process yields excellent color fastness and the ability to absorb invisible UV rays from the sun and reflect them as visible light in the 420-440nm range. This, in turn, provides a blue hue that enhances the overall whiteness of the fibers.
